Poster Size Guide
All our posters come in five sizes. Because the motifs have different proportions, we state the longest side rather than fixed centimetre pairs – a portrait and a landscape print in the same size class occupy a comparable amount of wall.

Which size for which room
- Above a sofa (180–220 cm): XL or 3XL, or three L prints in a row.
- Above a bed: one XL landscape print rather than several small ones.
- Hallway: M or L in portrait format, three at the same height.
- Home office: S or M at seated eye level.
- Kids' room: M, hung at the child's eye level.
- Stairwell: 3XL – anything smaller disappears on a tall wall.
The two-thirds rule
Above a piece of furniture, the artwork or the whole arrangement should cover roughly two thirds of the furniture's width. A 200 cm sofa therefore wants about 130–140 cm of picture width. Smaller reads as an afterthought; wider than the furniture makes the furniture look undersized.
Hanging height
Put the centre of the picture at about 145–150 cm above the floor – average eye level. Above furniture, keep 15–30 cm between the top edge of the furniture and the bottom edge of the frame.
Still unsure? The paper test
Cut the size out of newspaper or wrapping paper and tape it to the wall. Leave it for a day. You will know by the evening whether it is too small – and it costs nothing.
